Inland Northwest’s Fireside Lyceum
“Were not our hearts burning within us.”
The Fireside Lyceum is rooted in a tradition of life long learning. The Lyceum is not a new idea but was very popular in the 19th and early 20th Century (see the article in the encyclopedia Britannica https://www.britannica.com/topic/lyceum-movement). They were inspired by the work of Aristotle who started the Lyceum following his studies under Plato. Today we hope to revive this tradition, especially to support parents in their calling to be primary educators and life long learners of all God has given us in our Catholic Tradition and beyond that is True, Good, and especially Beautiful.
Our first will be held on September 30th, 2019. Please email or call with any questions or to RSVP: 509-903-3315 or firstname.lastname@example.org
